SHELTON — Celebrate Shelton is announcing Downtown Sounds: Fall Edition on Saturday, October 9th with The Alpaca Gnomes, Tash Neal (of The London Souls), and Lee-Ann Lovelace & Tracy Jo kicking off the day taking place at the Veterans Memorial Park in Shelton. The rain date is Sunday, October 10th. Gates open at 12:30 and music begins at 1:00pm.
This past summer, Celebrate Shelton welcomed over 1,000 people each Friday evening for a three-week Downtown Sounds summer concert series. Co-Founder Nicole Heriot-Mikula couldn’t hide excitement sharing, “How good does it feel to be together again?! We were thrilled to be able to gather, enjoy live music and we sincerely appreciate the support from our community.”
Jimmy Tickey, a Co-Founder, noted “Because of the summer concert series popularity and our desire to continue to make our downtown a destination for families, we wanted to plan a Fall Edition concert right away!”
Michael Skrtic, Co-Founder, said, “You can expect incredible live music, delicious local food trucks, a beer garden sponsored by New Belgium Brewing Company, handmade artisan vendors and children’s activities.”
The food truck lineup is: Szabo’s Seafood, Liquid Lunch, The Melting Truck, The Cinnabomb Mini Donut Factory, Jim’s Ice Cream Truck with more to come.
The concerts are free to attend, though there is a suggested donation of $10 to sustain Celebrate Shelton’s efforts in the community.
Sponsors are welcome to join the event by getting in touch at [email protected].
