Shelton police are looking for a woman they say robbed the Dunkin’ Donuts on Bridgeport Avenue at knife-point.
At about 5:30 p.m. Sunday, a masked woman with blond hair walked into the Dunkin’ Donuts in the Woodside Shopping Plaza and demanded money from the two employees on duty, said Det. Sgt. Kevin Ahern.
The masked woman allegedly pulled out what looked like a butcher knife, Ahern said.
The two employees ran out a back door of the store, and the robber jumped over the counter and took money from the cash registers.
The robber escaped out the back door, Ahern said. She left with an undisclosed amount of money.
There were no customers in the Dunkin’ Donuts at the time of the robbery.
No one was injured in the robbery.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Shelton Police Department (203) 924‑1544.
