Shelton Exchange Club Donates $3,000 to Shelton Safe Home

At the bi-monthly dinner meeting at Il Palio Restaurant in Shelton on Jan. 6th, the Shelton Exchange Club invited members of the Shelton Safe Home to speak about their program.

The Club presented them with a donation of $3,000.

The donation would not be possible without the proceeds from the Shelton Exchange Club’s Annual Pro Am Golf Tournament, which was held last October. According to Coretta Owen, the donation will go towards construction funds to add onto the home.

The Shelton Safe Home has been raising money for quite some time for this project.

For donation or volunteer information, please contact Coretta Owen at 203 – 240-5514 or via email coretta.owen@fcaweb.org.

The home is a safe haven for abused and neglected children while more permanent living arrangements are being made.

Exchange, America’s Service Club, is a group of men and women working together to make our communities better places to live through programs of service in
Americanism, Community Service, Youth Activities, and its national project, the Prevention of Child Abuse.
