The Shelton High School Athletic Department is proud to announce that Shelton High School will be sponsoring a Cancer Awareness Football Night at Edward C. Finn Stadium on Friday, Oct. 2, 2009 during the varsity Football game against Xavier High School.
All fans attending the game are asked to wear pink in support of Cancer Awareness.
A collection will be taken and the proceeds will be donated to cancer research in honor of each attendee wearing pink to the game.
The event is going to be broadcast the next day on WCTX My TV9 and it is expected that this additional exposure will help raise awareness to the cause.
Pink t‑shirts, hats, and pins will be available for purchase at the gate.
