SHELTON VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT WEEKLY RESPONSES

On 2/15/21 at 7:56 am the Pine Rock Co. #4 and the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded with an engine and a ladder truck to a fire in a large mulch pile at the Shelton Transfer Station #866 River Road.

On 2/15/21 at 9:16 am the White Hills Co. #5 responded with an engine to #1 Pasture Lane for a carbon monoxide alarm activation.

On 2/15/21 at 7:23 pm Huntington Co. #3, Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded with an engine, a rescue truck and a ladder truck to a fire alarm activation at the Hyatt House Hotel at #895 Bridgeport Avenue. There was no fire. Smoke from cooking in a room caused the alarm.

On 2/15/21 at 10:26 pm the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded with an engine and a ladder truck to a fire alarm activation at the Bridge Street Commons at #50 Bridge Street. There was no fire.

On 2/16/21 at 00:13 am the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded with an engine and a ladder truck to a fire alarm activation at the Bridge Street Commons at #50 Bridge Street. There was no fire.

On 2/16/21 at 10:54 pm the White Hills Co. #5, Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Huntington Co. #3 responded with two engines and a ladder truck to a chimney fire at #103 Big Horn Road. Two firefighters were injured while extinguishing the fire. One was transported to the hospital with an injury.
On 2/17/21 at 10:13 pm the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded with a unit to a motor vehicle accident on Long Hill Avenue near Murphy’s Lane.

On 2/18/21 at 1:41 pm the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded with a rescue truck to #19 Long Hill Avenue for an activated carbon monoxide alarm.

On 2/18/21 at 3:34 pm the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded with an engine to a fire alarm activation at the Helen DeVaux Housing Complex at #91 Howe Avenue. There was no fire. Smoke from cooking caused the alarm.

On 2/19/21 at 8:53 am the Pine Rock Co. #4 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded with a tanker truck and a ladder truck to a mulch fire at the Shelton Transfer Station #866 River Road.

On 2/19/21 at 9:10 am the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Huntington Co. #3 responded with an engine and a rescue truck to a motor vehicle accident on route 8 south bound at exit 12.

On 2/19/21 at 12:24 pm the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded with a rescue truck to a smoke detector activated at #5 Acorn Hollow in the Tamarac Ridge.

On 2/20/21 at 03:07 am the White Hills Co. #5 responded with a unit to #29 Village Drive for an activated carbon monoxide alarm sounding.

On 2/20/21 at 7:19 am the Echo Hose Co. #1, Pine Rock Co. #4, Huntington Co. #3 responded with an engine, a ladder truck and a utility truck to a mulch fire at the Shelton Transfer Station #866 River Road.

On 2/20/21 at 10:07 am the Huntington Co. #3, Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded with an engine, a rescue truck and a ladder truck to a report of an odor of natural gas in the building at #100 Beard Saw Mill Road.

On 2/20/21 at 3:54 pm the Pine Rock Co. #4 and the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded with an engine and a ladder truck to a mulch fire at the Shelton Transfer Station #866 River Road.

On 2/20/21 at 9:17 pm Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Huntington Co. #3 responded with an engine and a rescue truck to a motor vehicle accident on route 8 south bound at exit 12. 

On 2/20/21 at 9:47 pm the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded with an engine, a rescue truck and a ladder to #22 Orchard Street for an odor in the building.

On 2/21/21 at 00:16 am the Huntington Co. #3 responded with a rescue truck to a carbon monoxide alarm sounding at #75 Waverly Road.

On 2/21/21 at 02:33 am the Huntington Co. #3, Echo Hose Co. #1 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded with an engine and a ladder truck to a fire alarm activation at #9 Research Drive. There was no fire.

On 2/21/21 at 7:06 am the Pine Rock Co. #4 and the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded with an engine to a mulch fire at the Shelton Transfer Station #866 River Road.

On 2/21/21 at 1:38 pm the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to a fire alarm activation at the Sinsabaugh Heights Housing Complex at #187 Meadow Street. There was no fire. Smoke from cooking caused the alarm.

On 2/21/21 at 3:53 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded with an engine and a rescue truck to #47 Church Street for a fire alarm activation. There was no fire.

On 2/21/21 at 5:50 pm the Pine Rock Co. #4 and the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded with an engine and a rescue truck to a motor vehicle accident in the area of #813 River Road (Route 110).

On 2/22/21 at 6:58 am the Pine Rock Co. #4 and the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded with an engine to a mulch fire at the Shelton Transfer Station #866 River Road.
