Shelton Fire Department Calls For Service

SHELTON SHELTON VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT WEEKLY RESPONSES

On 03/20/23 at 1:39 am the Huntington Co. #3, White Hills Co. #5 and the Echo Hose H &L Co. #1 responded with two engine, a rescue truck and a ladder truck to a structure fire at #46 Rolling Brook Lane. Upon arrival firefighters entered the two-story single-family home and extinguished a fire in a second-floor bedroom. Firefighters kept the fire confined to the bedroom bringing it under control within minutes of arrival. The fire caused extensive damage to the bedroom and some parts of the home sustained water and smoke damage. One occupant, of the four in the home at the time of the fire, received burns as a result of the fire and was transported to the hospital by Echo Ambulance for treatment. The rest of the occupants escaped unharmed. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Fire Marshal.

On 03/22/23 at :48 am the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 responded with a unit to assist EMS at #202 Summerfield Gardens. 

On 03/22/23 at 2:37 pm the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded with an engine to a brush fire on Grove Street.

On 03/22/23 at 9:07 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded with two engines and a rescue truck to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Armstrong Road and James Farm Road.

On 03/23/23 at 3:35 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 responded with an engine and a ladder truck to a fire alarm activated at the Sugar Rush #899 Bridgeport Avenue. There was no fire. Smoke from cooking caused the alarm.

On 03/23/23 at 5:41 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 responded with an engine and two rescue trucks to a motor vehicle accident in the area of #707 Bridgeport Avenue.

On 03/23/23 at 9:54 pm the Huntington Co. #3 responded with an engine to an open burning at #55 Dogwood Drive.

On 03/24/23 at 8:59 am the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded with an engine to a fire alarm activated at the Sinsabaugh Heights Housing Complex at #187 Meadow Street. There was no fire. 

On 03/24/23 at 1:24 pm the Echo hose H & L Co. #1 responded with an engine to Howe Avenue and Kneen Street for a power line down.

On 03/24/23 at 4:23 pm the Echo hose H & L Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded with an engine to #174 Coram Avenue for an odor of gas in the building.

On 03/24/23 at 6:05 pm the White Hills Co. #5 and the Huntington Co. #3 responded with two engines to #39 Hiawatha Trail for a fire alarm activation. There was no fire. Smoke from cooking caused the alarm.

On 03/24/23 at 7:35 pm the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded with an engine to an open burn on Mohawk Drive.

On 03/24/23 at 9:03 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 responded with an engine and a rescue truck to a motor vehicle accident on route 8 north bound near exit 13.

On 03/24/23 at 10:26 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the Echo Hose H &L Co. #1 responded with two engines to a motor vehicle accident on Church Street.

On 03/25/23 at 12:12 pm the Huntington Co. #3 responded with an engine to Isinglass Road for power line down.

On 03/25/23 at 5:30 pm the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 and the Huntington Co. #3 responded with two engines and a ladder truck to am odor of gas at #22 Dome Drive.

On 03/26/23 at 8:56 am the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded with an engine to a carbon monoxide alarm activated at #426 Asbury Ridge.

On 03/26/23 at 9:00 am the Huntington Co. #3 responded with an engine to standby at the Nichols Fire Station at #100 Shelton Road. 

On 03/26/23 at 1:11 pm the Echo hose H & L Co. #1, Pine Rock Park Co. #4 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded with two engines to a brush fire at the Sunnyside Boat Ramp.

On 03/26/23 at 1:16 pm the White Hills Co. #5 responded with an engine to a motor vehicle accident on East Village Road at Dimon Road.

On 03/26/23 at 7:15 pm the Echo hose H & L Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded with an engine and a ladder truck to a fire alarm activated at the Wild Kanji Restaurant #514 Bridgeport Avenue. There was no fire.

On 03/27/23 at :45 am the Huntington Co. #3 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded with an engine to #39 Rolling Brook Lane for a carbon monoxide alarm sounding.
