Shelton Fire Department Weekly Calls For Service

SHELTON — Fire Marshal James Tortora submitted the following list of calls for service for the Shelton Fire Department on Monday (Aug. 5).

On 7/29/24 at 1:15 am the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded to a fire alarm activated at the Shelton City Hall #54 Hill Street. There was no fire.

On 7/29/24 at 3:21 pm the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded to a fire alarm activated at #50 Country Walk Condo’s. There was no fire.

On 7/29/24 at 3:41 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to an activated fire alarm at #11 Reed Lane. There was no fire.

On 7/29/24 at 4:47 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to a motor vehicle accident Nichols Avenue at Church Street.

On 7/29/24 at 9:04 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 responded to a smoke investigation on route 8 north bound between exits 13 and 14.

On 7/30/24 at 5:43 am the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded to a fire alarm activated at the Ripton Housing Complex at #423 Howe Avenue. There was no fire.

On 7/30/24 at 1:19 pm the White Hills Co. #5 and the Huntington Co. #3 responded to a gas leak inside at #68 Princess Wenonah Drive.

On 7/30/24 at 3:03 pm the Huntington Co. #3 responded to a tree on a power line on Judson Circle.

On 7/31/24 at 8:20 am the Huntington Co. #3, Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to a fire alarm activated at the Shelton Community Center #41 Church Street. There was no fire.

On 7/31/24 at 5:52 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 responded to an activated fire alarm at the Hilton Garden Inn #25 Old Stratford Road. There was no fire.

On 7/31/24 at 10:28 pm the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded to #16 Sunnyside Drive for a Carbon monoxide alarm sounding.

On 8/1/24 at 1/24 at the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 and the Huntington Co. #3 responded to a motor vehicle accident on route 8 south bound between exits 21 and 11.

On 8/1/24 at 5:41 pm the White Hills Co. #5 responded to a power line down on Thoreau Drive.

On 8/1/24 at 6:18 pm the White Hills Co. #5 responded to #200 East Village Road for a barbecue grille fire.

On 8/2/24 at 3:02 am the Echo hose H & L Co. #1 responded to #5 New Street for a carbon monoxide alarm sounding.

On 8/3/24 all fire companies responded to 30 storm related emergency calls as a result of a severe thunderstorm passed through the area. Most were for power lines and trees down on roadways and on vehicles. There were also several alarm related calls from power outages.

On 8/5/24 at 1:55 am the Huntington Co. #3 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to an activated carbon monoxide alarm at #24 Woods Grove Road.
