SHELTON — SHELTON VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT WEEKLY RESPONSES

ON 10/06/20 AT 9:53 pm the Pine Rock Co. #4 and the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded with an engine and a ladder truck to a fire alarm activation at #111 Rocky Rest Road. There was no fire. Steam from a shower caused the alarm. 

On 10/07/20 at 8:18 am the Huntington Co. #3 responded with an engine to #6 Redwood Circle for carbon monoxide alarm activation. 

On 10/07/20 at 6:04 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded with an engine to a fire alarm activation at #55 Blackberry Lane. There was no fire. Smoke from cooking caused the alarm.

On 10/08/20 at 5:48 am the White Hills Co. #5 responded with two engines to 355 Big Horn Road for an activated carbon monoxide alarm.

On 10/08/20 at 8:32 am the Huntington Co. #3 were dispatched to assist EMS at #61 Waverly Road. Fire units were cancelled shortly thereafter.

On 10/08/20 at 7:52 pm the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded with an engine and a ladder truck to a fire alarm activation at the Sinsabaugh Heights Housing Complex at #187 Meadow Street. There was no fire. Smoke from cooking caused the alarm.

On 10/09/20 at 00:44 am the Huntington Co. #3 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded with two engines and a ladder truck to #120 Mohegan Road for a fire alarm activation. There was no fire. 

On 10/09/20 at 10:06 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded with an engine and a ladder truck to #38 Canfield Drive for a fire alarm activation. There was no fire. Steam from a shower caused the alarm.

On 10/09/20 at 5:51 pm the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded with to a motor vehicle accident on Coram Avenue at White Street.

On 10/09/20 at 7:03 pm the Echo Hose Co. 31 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded with an engine and a rescue truck to a motor vehicle accident on Bridgeport Avenue near Nell Rock Road. 

On 10/09/20 at 6:25 pm the Huntington Co. #3, White Hills Co. #5 and the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded to #115 Thompson Street for smoke in the home. There was no fire. The smoke was caused by a furnace backfire. 

On 10/10/20 at 6:17 pm the Huntington Co. #3 responded with an engine to a report of smoke in the area of #295 Huntington Street. The smoke was from a campfire.

On 10/11/20 at 8:35 am the Pine Rock Co. #4 and the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded with an engine to a dumpster fire at the transfer station #866 River Road.

On 10/11/20 at 1:26 pm the Huntington Co. #3 responded with an engine to an illegal open burning at #30 Meadowridge Drive.
