Firefighters from Shelton’s Huntington Fire Co. 3 have set up a food drive after learning of a shortage of supplies at the Spooner House.
They will be collecting canned goods and non-perishable food items at the firehouse at 44 Church St. on Saturday, Sept. 15 from 8 a.m. to noon and Sunday, Sept. 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Firefighters will be collecting food in the parking lot and are asking residents to drop off an item or two while they are out running their weekend errands. Children are also welcome to stop by with their parents to check out all of the fire trucks.
