Shelton Firefighters Practice Cutting Cars Open


Echo Hose Hook and Ladder Co.#1 and White Hills Co.#5 members participated in an extrication drill on Sunday Aug. 7 at White Hills Co.#5.

After the extrication drill, the members were able practice suppression techniques on a camper fire. 

About 25 members from both companies attended this drill.

This drill covered the following items:

Extrication of victims using Jaws of Life (Hurst Tools)
Stabilization
Dash rolls/lift
Roof rolls/lift
Extrication equipment/tools
Scene Safety
Scene Assessment
Vehicle Fires
