The Shelton Jewish Festival is set to return this summer. The festival aims to honor Jewish traditions, showcasing music, customs, and cuisine enjoyed by Jewish people.
The festival will take place this Sunday, July 21, from 1 – 3 p.m., at the Huntington Green in Shelton.
James Kessler from the East Rock Klezmer Band and Nadav from the Trio Shalva band will headline the musical performances. The festival will feature a wide range of activities, vendors, bounce houses, and Israeli street food, hosted by “Lade and Loaf” Kosher restaurant.
“The goal of the festival is to bring our community together in a spirit of unity and celebration,” said Rabbi Shneur Brook. “We invite everyone to join us at the festival, as it is open to all, and there will be something for everyone to enjoy.”
The festival serves as a platform to highlight the thriving Jewish community in Shelton, Monroe & Stratford and its positive impact on the region, according to Brook.
Throughout the year, the Chabad of Shelton hosts various events, including family Shabbat and holiday celebrations, children’s programming and adult education classes.
