Shelton Lawyer Authors Textbook Chapter

Michelle C. Laubin, a senior partner with Berchem, Moses & Devlin, P.C., has co-authored a chapter in a nursing textbook, ​“School Nurse Administrators: Leadership and Management,” published by the National Association of School Nurses (NASN).

The chapter is entitled ​“Understanding the Legal Landscape.”

The chapter addresses laws and regulations that may apply in the school setting governing nurses and their interactions with students, staff and parents.

The book will be offered as a textbook for school nursing administrators nationwide. 

Laubin, who is a member of the firm’s Education Law Practice Group, focuses her practice on matters involving students in public schools, including school health and special education matters. 

A resident of Huntington, Laubin regularly lectures and presents on education law topics before professional organizations statewide, including the Connecticut Association of Boards of Education, the Connecticut Association of Public School Superintendents and the Connecticut Council of Administrators of Special Education.
