Police said a 30-year-old Shelton man died Sunday after a motorcycle he was driving crashed on Leavenworth Road.
The victim was identified as Adam Grabowski, 30.
In a prepared statement, police said they received several 911 calls about 6:42 p.m. Sunday reporting a motor vehicle accident on Leavenworth Road (Route 110) in the area of the White Hills Shopping Center.
Officers and EMS went to the scene and found that Grabowski’s motorcycle and a Honda CRV driven by Leelo Linask, 44, of Monroe, “made contact with each other while driving westbound on Leavenworth Road.”
Grabowski was pronounced dead at the scene, the police statement said.
An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday, according to the state medical examiner’s office.
Grabowski was a graduate of Emmett O’Brien Technical School and worked as a commercial truck driver, according to his obituary.
Services have been scheduled for Friday (Nov. 8) from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road in Shelton.
The accident is under investigation by the Shelton Police Department’s Accident Reconstruction Team.
