The Board of Education held its second of three informational sessions on a redistricting proposal for the city’s elementary schools Thursday night.
About 50 parents attended, and asked questions of board members and shared concerns about the plans, which would directly affect 281 students.

The Board of Education members said they will take the feedback from parents into consideration when voting on the proposal.
Parents Thursday asked about how the redistricting will affect students’ learning, transportation and established day care routines.
They also wondered how the lines got redrawn as proposed, and whether older students can be grandfathered in to stay at their schools.
The Board of Education will host another information session at 7 p.m. on Feb. 22 at Shelton Intermediate School.
