The Shelton Police Department won two awards during the Sixth Annual Sgt. Geoffrey Schweitzer Emergency Vehicle Show.
The event was held May 22 at the Connecticut Police Academy and benefited the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.
The department won “Best Ford” and “Best in Show” for patrol vehicle 170.
The awards were based on the design of the vehicle, the equipment and set up of the vehicle.
There were approximately 75 vehicles entered in the show from departments in Connecticut and other New England states.
Sgt. Jamie Millington, who is in charge of vehicle maintenance and equipment, and Sgt. Tom Adams attended the event and received the awards.
