SHELTON – A 41-year-old man from Bridgeport was charged Wednesday (May 25) in connection to a bank robbery in 2021.
Ramion Baker was charged with third-degree robbery and second-degree larceny. Both charges are felonies. Baker is being held on a $120,000 bond and is due back in court July 8.
Police are accusing Baker of robbing a Chase Bank on Bridgeport Avenue in Shelton on Feb. 12, 2021. No weapon was displayed and no injuries were reported. Police said Baker handed a note to a teller demanding cash.
Baker was developed as a suspect after similar Chase Bank robberies happened in Stratford and Waterford, police said.
“During the investigation forensics linked Baker to the robberies,” according to a written statement from Detective Richard Bango.
Baker also has a charge of second-degree robbery pending out of Stratford, along with second-degree robbery and third-degree larceny pending out of Waterford. He is also accused of robbing a bank in Charlotte, N.C.
