Commerce Drive and Research Drive in Shelton, where first responders were dispatched to a fatal motor vehicle accident.
SHELTON – Shelton police are investigating after a man died in a one-vehicle accident in which the vehicle was found ablaze, according to a press release sent to the Valley Indy.
According to the press release, firefighters, EMS and police responded to a reported car fire near the intersection of Commerce Drive and Research Drive at around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday (June 23). On-scene, a male occupant was found inside the vehicle.
The man was removed from the vehicle by emergency personnel and transferred to Bridgeport Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
The man’s identity has not been released at this time.
According to a review of emergency radio dispatches, first responders saw a car, on fire, rolled over into a tree when they arrived.
The Shelton PD Accident Reconstruction Team is currently investigating the incident, the press release.
