Shelton police are investigating an assault that happened on the Derby border Saturday night.
Police responded to the bridge that connects Derby to Shelton at about 11:30 p.m. and found a 41-year-old Ansonia man lying in the road.
He suffered “multiple facial bruises,” according to information from police spokesman Sgt. Robert Kozlowsky.
The victim’s name was not released. He was hospitalized with “non-life-threatening” injuries, police said.
