Shelton police have made an arrest for the robbery of Citibank on Bridgeport Avenue this summer.
On Friday (Nov. 4), Shelton police served an arrest warrant for Kenneth Anderson, 48, of Reservoir Avenue in Bridgeport.
He was charged with third-degree robbery, and fourth-degree larceny.
Anderson was held on a $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear at Superior Court in Derby on Nov. 28.
Shelton police responded to the Citibank at 850 Bridgeport Ave. at about 3:30 p.m. on June 22 on a report of a bank robbery.
There were no customers inside the bank at the time of the robbery.
No one was injured in the incident.
Police said the suspect did not display a weapon, but handed the teller a note demanding money. He then fled in a late 1990s model Mitsubishi Galant.
At the time, police believed he might have been involved in other bank robberies in the area.
Shelton police were working with police in Bridgeport, Stratford and Trumbull to investigate the case, according to Lt. Robert Kozlowsky. The Bridgeport police department had Anderson listed as a suspect, and forwarded his name to Shelton police for their investigation, Kozlowsky said.
