Police Wednesday released the names of the drivers involved in a two-crash on River Road in Shelton Monday night.
According to Shelton police, Jean Pina, 48, of Shelton, was heading south on River Road in a 2009 Nissan Altima when she attempted to turn left onto Wallace Street at about 8:45 p.m.
She was struck by a 1967 Mercury Cougar being driven by 24-year-old James Gorel of Shelton, who was heading north on River Road at the time of the crash.
The crash is under investigation and no tickets have been issued, Shelton police said in a prepared statement.
Pina and her two 13-year-old passengers were treated at the scene and transported to the hospital, Shelton police said.
Gorel is out of the hospital and his 23-year-old passenger is scheduled to be released Friday.
The Valley Indy was unable to check on their condition of Pina Wednesday.
