Four outstanding students from Shelton were recently recognized by the Connecticut Association of Boards of Education (CABE) with a Student Leadership Award.
Students were nominated to receive this award by their school principals and exhibit the following leadership skills:
- Willingness to take on challenges
- Capability to make difficult decisions
- Concern for others
- Ability to work with others
- Willingness to commit to a project
- Diplomacy
- Ability to understand issues clearly
- Ability to honor a commitment
Superintendent Christopher Clouet and the Shelton Board of Education recognized the following students at the April 26 Board of Education meeting: Shelton High School students Carly Nicholas and Tyler Werner; Shelton Intermediate School students Lia Fadiman and Brandon Acervida.
Dr. Clouet said, “We are very proud of the leadership these students have exercised in the course of their studies.”
