The Shelton swim team came away with two wins after a triple meet at the Shelton Community Center Tuesday (Feb. 9).
Shelton defeated Seymour 49 – 45, and defeated Jonathan Law 60 – 34.
The Gaels quickly took the lead by finishing first and second in the Medley Relay at the beginning of the meet, followed by sophomore Matt Hellauer’s domination of the 200
Freestyle.
Shelton hung on taking second in the 200 IM, 50 free, and 100 Fly, and sealed the victory coming in first in the 100 and 500 freestyle events led by Juniors Tibor Molnar and Jimmy Szabo and taking first and third place in the 200 Free relay.
Freshman Timmy Maloney and Sophomore Justin Letendre sealed the victory taking first and second in the 100 Backstroke.
Shelton’s season record now stands at 3 – 9.
