The PTO and the Father’s Club at Elizabeth Shelton School raised about $3,000 during a “Touch a Truck” event this weekend.
About 700 people attended the event, according to Father’s Club president Chris Panek.
Panek said the event “was a huge success for us.” Last year only 150 people attended.
As part of the event, a Black Hawk helicopter flew in and landed for some pictures.
Some of the groups that brought trucks were:
CT State Police
Shelton Police
Bridgeport Police Swat Team and K9
Echo Hose Ambulance
All of Shelton’s Fire Companies
White Hills Tree Service
Kaufman Fuel
United Illuminating
Enviro Shield
King Hiram
Trans-Clean Corp.
