A Shelton resident has started a “Go Fund Me“ page to collect donations for the family of Kristjan Ndoj, the 15-year-old Shelton High School student in critical condition after being shot Saturday (March 15).
Violet Wills said Tuesday she started the page because the tragedy “hit so close to home.”
Wills has a 15-year-old daughter attending Shelton High School. She doesn’t know Kristjan well, she said, but “just to know one of your peers has been shot in such a gruesome way and is now fighting for his life, you feel like you have to do something.”
She said a friend of hers got in touch with Kristjan’s family Tuesday to get permission to start the fundraiser.

Wills said she also wanted to help because the community reached out to her own family after a drunk driver killed two relatives on Route 110 in December 2001.
“That’s what drives me to do these kinds of things,” Wills said. “I remember an outpouring of donations for us and it helped and it was greatly appreciated. Any way you can try to pay it forward, that’s what I try to live by.”
