Shelton’s Brian Shimer Flies CT Flag In Iraq

PC Brian Shimer of the 82nd Airborne Division, Charlie Company, holds a Connecticut State Flag flown over his unit’s base in Iraq.

Shimer is a Shelton native whose parents, Heather and Russell Shimer, asked elected officials from all fifty states to donate a flag in recognition of the 82nd Airborne’s heritage as the All-American Division” comprised of soldiers from every state in the union.

The Connecticut flag was donated by Rep. Jason Perillo, R‑113 and Sen. Dan Debicella, R‑21.
