A house on Jackson Street was shot 10 times early Sunday, police report.
No injuries were reported.
Officers responded to a report of shots fires on Jackson Street near Howard Avenue at about 6 a.m. Police found eighteen .45 caliber shell casings in the street.
Neighbors said they heard people arguing just before the gunfire. A gold-colored Chevrolet Malibu with tinted windows and custom rims was seen leaving the scene — as was a small, red, two-door vehicle. The vehicles were traveling in opposite directions, police said.
“It does not appear at this time that the residents of the home were the intended targets. No suspect descriptions have been given and no other details are available at this time,” Lt. Andrew Cota said in a prepared statement.
Anyone with information is asked to call the police department at 203 – 735-1885. Detective Rafalowski is investigating.
