Throughout the month of June, a Supportive Services Veterans Family Program (SSVF) representative will provide information sessions to enroll veterans in lower Fairfield County, the lower Naugatuck Valley and the greater New Haven areas.
The program operated by The WorkPlace increases the awareness of veteran support services such as housing counseling and job search assistance, vocational rehabilitation counseling, educational and training assistance, coordination and linkage to Veterans Affairs benefits (medical, mental health, substance abuse, housing, etc.), and assistance in coordinating and obtaining public benefits.
The SSVF is founded upon the principle that every veteran has a right to a home.
The SSVF is a community-based program providing a range of supportive services to assist families transitioning from homelessness to permanent housing and prevent at-risk families from becoming homeless.
They encourage veteran families to come and speak with a representative next week at any of the following locations:

The American Legion, 60 County Street, Norwalk, CT
June 25, 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.
