Montrell Dobbs rushed 52 times for 303 yards and three touchdowns. Junior quarterback Elliot Chudwick tossed a touchdown to Andrew Matos.

Ansonia was within six points after a Dobbs touchdown near the halfway mark of the fourth quarter. But St. Joseph QB Joe DellaVecchia connected with WR Jerry Kramer on a 60-yard pass, to give St. Joe’s a commanding 42 – 28 lead with just under 6 minutes to play.

Dobbs ends his career rushing for over 300 yards in three-consecutive games (total of 1,047 yards in the last 3 games). He is the first player in Connecticut high school football history to attain this feat. He finishes his career for Ansonia with 5,471 yards rushing and 67 rushing touchdowns.
