Connecticut Department of Labor’s job fair season begins March 20 at the Ethan Allen Hotel (21 Lake Avenue Extension) in Danbury.
Co-sponsored by Cumulus Media, the City of Danbury and the Greater Danbury Chamber of Commerce, the event will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Information about the state’s new Subsidized Training and Employment “Step Up” program and other initiatives will be available at all career fair locations.
Step Up offers up to six months of wage reimbursements and subsidies for small businesses that hire new employees while the Small Manufacturer Training Program provides up to $12,500 in grants to assist with the cost of training a new employee.
Held during spring and fall, Labor Department job fairs bring opportunities to job seekers from across the state, including one for college students and another for Veterans.
