SHELTON — State police want to interview anyone who may have witnessed a fatal crash on Route 8 north Sunday morning.
The crash took the life of Daniel James Gillespy, 22, of Stratford.
Police said Gillespy was driving a 2002 Saturn LT at about 5:30 a.m. near exit 12 in Shelton when he drove off the highway and hit a tree in the center median.
Gillespy was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The collision remains under investigation,” according to an accident information summary released by state police.
