State Senate Hopeful Campaigns In Derby

On Wednesday, April 27, George Logan, seeking the Republican endorsement for State Senate of the 17th District, was seen at the Catholic War Veterans headquarters in Derby.

Logan, in his quest to unseat opponent Joe Crisco, is wasting no time getting the message out to voters.

“As I see it, this campaign is about giving the people in our State Senatorial District a clear choice between an over-taxing and over-regulating 20 plus year incumbent who has contributed to the decline of our state versus a citizen who brings common business sense to Hartford and will actually represent the interests of the people of the 17th, not the will of the political bosses” Logan said to his supporters.

The event featured many dignitaries from around the district, most notably State Republican Party Chair JR Romano Jr., Ansonia Mayor David Cassetti, State Republican Party Treasurer Chuck Pyne and several Chairmen of Republican Town Committees from 17th District, which includes all of Ansonia, Beacon Falls, Bethany and Derby and parts of Hamden, Naugatuck and Woodbridge.

Submitted by the Derby Republicans.
