DERBY — The Storm Ambulance & Rescue Corps is proud to announce the successful completion of an extensive upgrade to its rope rescue equipment and the conclusion of an intensive two-day training session for its members. This significant enhancement in the Corps’ capabilities was made possible through the generous donations from our community and the dedicated efforts of our team.

The upgrade includes state-of-the-art rope rescue equipment designed to improve safety and efficiency during emergency operations. The newly acquired gear will enable our rescue team to perform high-angle rescues, confined space extrications, and other complex rescue scenarios with greater confidence and precision.Over the past weekend, members of the Storm Ambulance & Rescue Corps engaged in a rigorous two-day training program.

The training, conducted by certified experts from Safety Consulting Group of Massapequa N. Y., focused on advanced rope rescue techniques, equipment handling, and safety protocols. This hands-on experience ensures that our team is well-prepared to respond to emergencies requiring specialized rope rescue operations.

The new equipment and training significantly bolster our capabilities to serve the Derby community,” said Thomas Lenart, Chief of Storm Ambulance & Rescue Corps.
