Storm Debris Clean-Up Help

Some Valley towns have extended transfer station hours and scheduled extra curbside pickups to help residents cleaning up debris from the storm. 

The following are notices we have received: 

Ansonia

Curbside pickup of storm debris will begin on Sept. 6 Public works crews will pick up debris regularly for a two-week period ending Sept. 20. 

Seymour

The transfer station on Silvermine Road will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. up to and including Saturday for residents to take storm debris. 

The town will evaluate the need for extra hours next week. 

Shelton

The transfer station at 866 River Road and compost sites will be open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. until Sept. 3 so residents can bring down debris from the storm. 

Residents can also take wood from the transfer station if they need it.
