Strike Leader Lights, Puts Out Fires

The New Haven Independent (our sister site) tagged along with Jorge Cabrera Wednesday as he traveled the region to talk to striking Stop & Shop workers.

The story includes interviews in Ansonia and Shelton.

Cabrera, a recent state Senate candidate, is a business representative for the United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) Local 919. He’s responsible for bargaining units at eight Stop & Shops in Connecticut.
