Summer Concert Schedules In Ansonia, Seymour & Shelton

Here is a list of summer concerts happening locally over the next weeks and months.

This list is not complete, and will be updated as information arrives. FYI, Derby plans to present concerts starting in August and extend into September. I’ll publish Derby’s schedule when it is finalized.

I’ve provided hyperlinks below if you need more info. It’s always good to visit the various Facebook event pages and city pages to double check the concerts are still happening.

ANSONIA

The City of Ansonia just posted its schedule of free summer concerts, which are held at Veterans Memorial Park next to Ansonia City Hall at 253 Main St.

Please check out the flyer below and visit the City of Ansonia on Facebook for additional info.

SEYMOUR

The Seymour Culture & Arts Commission’s summer concert series is already underway.

You can visit the Seymour Culture and Arts on Facebook, and you can get updates from The Office of the First Selectwoman’s Facebook page.

The Town of Seymour also has a calendar on the official government web page. Click here to read it.

The flyer below, which was previously published by The Valley Indy, says the Seymour concerts are held at Great Hill Hose Co.

That’s at 140 Botsford Road in Seymour. Click here for the fire company’s Facebook page (and keep an eye out for the fire station’s block party scheduled for October).

SHELTON

The City of Shelton has a ton of live music (and more) to keep you cool this summer.

First, I stole the list of Music Under The Stars” concerts from the City of Shelton website. Click here for the source.

The Music Under The Stars” concerts are held on the Huntington Green, which Google tells me is between Huntington and Church streets, and is a good place to play Pokeman, according to a random review. Click here for a map, and check out the flyer below.

The Music Under The Stars” concert series happens thanks to the city’s parks & recreation department. They have an active and informative Facebook page, which you can check out by clicking this link.

Celebrate Shelton,” a nonprofit group that has been knocking it out of the park with events and family-friendly activities in downtown Shelton since 2014, is once again putting on a concert series.

Check out the Celebrate Shelton” Facebook page by, you guessed it, click this link.

Partial proceeds from Celebrate Shelton’s Downtown Sounds” concert series benefit the Boys & Girls Club of the Lower Naugatuck Valley, which is cool.

The concerts are held in Veterans Memorial Park (38 Canal St. E), and there is plenty of parking.
