“Summerfest” is a rebranding of Derby Day, the annual community event that started to see a drop-off in attendance in recent years. While Derby Day included the Green plus the surrounding streets, “Summerfest” will be more compact and concentrated on the Green.
In addition to on-street parking, a municipal parking garage is available on nearby Thompson Place.
Restaurants on Elizabeth Street include Retro Grub and Pub at 87 Elizabeth St. and Archie Moore’s at 17 Elizabeth St.
The weather forecast Saturday calls for a high temperature of 86 degrees with a 30 percent chance of rain after 2 p.m.
FYI, the rain date for “Summerfest” is Sunday, June 30.
Visit the Summerfest event page on Facebook.
At least 20 vendors will be there. The flyer below lists some of the vendors.
