DERBY — More than 60 Valley-based nonprofits — a record number — have signed up to participate in the 2025 Great Give on May 7 – 8.
The 36-hour online fundraising spectacular, created by The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven (TCF) in 2010, unites donors with area nonprofits online in a fun and engaging way.
The Great Give raises money and awareness for area nonprofits and causes with valuable matching funds and prizes from TCF, the Valley Community Foundation (VCF), and other generous sponsors. Last year, The Great Give raised more than $3.8 million for a record number 553 nonprofits in the Valley and Greater New Haven area.
There were 57 Valley-based nonprofits that participated in 2024, raising more than $507,000 for organizations in Ansonia, Derby, Oxford, Seymour, and Shelton.
Registration for nonprofits to participate closed April 25. To donate to nonprofits during the Great Give: To donate to your favorite nonprofits during the Great Give, go to www.TheGreatGive.org between 8am on May 7, 2025, and 8pm on May 8, 2025. Due to the unprecedented number of grant requests this year, donations made to VCF during this year’s Great Give will go toward unrestricted grant requests and support area nonprofits in 2025.
