Surveillance Photo Released In Shelton Stick-Up

Shelton police released a surveillance photo of the man who robbed a Bridgeport Avenue gas station Saturday night.

The man pictured above used a gun to rob the gas station and fled with an undetermined” amount of cash. There were no injuries.

The stick-up took place about 10 p.m., after which police were sent to the gas station, at 99 Bridgeport Ave., on a report of an armed robbery.

The employee at the station told police that a man wearing a hooded sweatshirt, jeans, and a black cloth covering his face entered the store and went to the register.

The man then displayed a gun and demanded money, according to police, and left with an undetermined amount of cash.

The employee was not injured, police said, and no one else was in the store at the time.

Detectives responded to the scene and are currently investigating the incident.
