TEAM Inc To Introduce New Leader Friday

TEAM, Inc. of Derby will introduce David Morgan, its new president and CEO, at the agency’s annual meeting Friday, Oct. 10 at the Grassy Hill Lodge in Derby.

U.S. Sen. Christopher Murphy is the keynote speaker at the event.

TEAM Inc. is non-profit corporation whose mission is to connect individuals and families with solutions that lead to well-being, self-sufficiency and full participation in the community.

Morgan succeeds Richard Knoll, who is retiring.

The Board of Directors also announced the promotion of Diane Stroman to Executive Vice President of TEAM.

Both Morgan and Stroman held prior positions as vice presidents for TEAM Inc, focusing on education, family, health, social, and development services throughout the greater Valley-Milford region.

Morgan worked at TEAM for nine years and currently serves two current legislative and executive appointments – one by Gov. Dannel Malloy and one by state Sen. Donald E. Williams Jr.

Morgan has a master’s degree and sixth-year certification.

He is a nationally certified ROMA Trainer through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Community Services, and the Community Action Association of Pennsylvania – and a certified reviewer for the Northeast Institute for Quality Community Action.

Morgan also served as chairman and president of the Connecticut Head Start Association for the last four years.

Stroman’s promotion includes ongoing relationships with community partners and major donors/funders – and she will monitor the alignment of TEAMs strategic objectives, agency mission, and addressing community needs.

Knoll, who managed TEAM Inc. since 1991, will help Morgan transition to his new role during the next three months.

Reservations for Friday’s breakfast meeting can be made by contacting Sylvia Paytas at 203 – 736-5420, ext. 202.
