TEAM Inc's David Morgan Talks Federal Funding Uncertainty

THE VALLEY – The Great Give, a 36-hour online fundraiser for hundreds of Connecticut nonprofits, was held May 7 and May 8, 2025. 

During The Great Give, The Valley Indy — a nonprofit online newspaper covering Ansonia, Derby & Seymour, Connecticut — conducted its annual Valley Indy Great Give Livestream” on Facebook.

About 24 local nonprofit leaders appeared as guests on The Valley Indy stream during The Great Give, including David Morgan, the CEO of TEAM, Inc., and Lillian McKenzie, TEAM’s development and communication manager.

TEAM, based in Derby, is a Naugatuck Valley community action agency, operating programs such as Meals on Wheels, home heating aid, food assistance, senior nutrition programs, early childhood programs, the annual Toys 4 Kids” holiday toy drive, a diaper bank, and much more.

TEAM received about $18.1 million in federal grants & contracts, according to its 2024 annual report.
