Families are invited to share in some outdoor fun and make a unique gift for mom at The Redwing Pond House Preschool Spring Fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 12.
Held at the recently-opened Redwing Pond House Preschool, 21 Milan Street in Ansonia, the Fair will feature animal exhibitions, a police dog demonstration, games for children of all ages, a visit from “Mother Nature” herself, arts and crafts, a Mother’s Day flower sale, a tag sale and food. Children can also make a one-of-a-kind gift for mom using “wood cookies.”
Proceeds from the event will support scholarships to the preschool for area children.
Opened in January of 2012, The Redwing Pond House is a nature-based preschool at the Ansonia Nature Center that focuses on developing the whole child, promoting growth in cognitive, physical, social, emotional, and creative development through interactions with the natural world. The fair will be a great opportunity for parents to see the preschool and meet the teachers.
