The Valley Indy Twitter profile. Impressive, right?
DERBY — Twitter is a place in the virtual world where people go to insult each other, spread misinformation, undermine institutions and societal norms, and generally be annoying.

These are the monthly “top Tweets” for The Valley Indy on Twitter in 2019.
January 2019
Info not available from Twitter for this month. I don’t know why, but I suspect my most-read Tweet was about comedian Artie Lang (past ‘Navel Gazing’ podcast guest, somehow) giving a great performance at The Strand in Seymour. Unfortunately Artie had a rough few weeks immediately thereafter.

“First there was artiequitter with a sold-out show at the Strand in Seymour in January, now there's
JackieMartling in March then @ComicBobNelson in April. Those guys are legends. Go see some live comedy, Valley neighbors. (A proud sponsored post)”
March 2019
LOL
(Me reacting to a Tweet that said “BREAKING: Prosecutors allege that Rodney Dangerfield committed fraud to enroll in college at age 65.”
April 2019
“support local news — especially reporters who can name a state’s attorney on sight”
(Me showing respect for Hartford Courant reporter Dave Owens)
May 2019
‘Civilian clothes?’ I guess reporters now have to carry 1920s-era flash bulbs, wear a fedora and talk like the cast of The Front Page?
(Me reacting to a Tweet about a CT Post reporter getting arrested without cause in Bridgeport. She was described as being in ‘civilian clothes.’)
June 2019
“Oh yeah, try hosting one in Derby where the crowd shouts out answers, a guy gets escorted out, and some 12-year-old campaign manager curses at you for not being a bouncer and moderator. Harumph!”
(ReTweet of a Politico story, somehow triggered my lingering resentment from the 2017 Derby mayoral debate)
