An 18-year-old man and three underage accomplices were arrested after allegedly fleeing from police in a stolen car Sunday.
Shelton police said an officer tried to stop a car on Howe Avenue for a minor traffic violation. The car took off.
The car’s plate came back as stolen. The vehicle got on Route 8 south, then got off and back on the highway heading north. It pulled over near exit 13, and the four people inside ran away.
A Shelton police dog helped track the group into the woods. State police responded as well.
The three juveniles are scheduled to appear in youth court, but 18-year-old Theodore Reddick-Longley, of West Haven, was charged with first-degree criminal trover, third-degree larceny, and interfering with police.
