The Connecticut State Building Trades have endorsed Theresa Conroy for State Representative in the 105th Assembly District which includes the towns of Seymour, Beacon Falls, and Derby.
Conroy has been instrumental in creating legislation that works to secure job opportunities for our workers. This session, Conroy supported legislation that will encourage manufacturing careers in middle and high schools, which will ultimately fill the growing need for jobs in this sector. She additionally recognizes the importance of technical high schools and has worked to support their mission.
Furthermore, Conroy realizes the importance of bringing business to Connecticut. She voted in favor of the Sikorsky deal, which will keep Sikorsky headquarters in state until 2032 and will bring approximately 8,000 jobs. She also supports the Henkel Corporation in its decision to move its headquarters to Connecticut. These projects not only improve the quality of life for residents in the district, but they also bring thousands of jobs for residents.
“I believe that in order for Connecticut to be a successful state, we have to take care of our workers,” Conroy said. “I will continue to fight for more jobs, opportunities, and training for our workers.”
