Here is a list of things happening in the Naugatuck Valley this weekend.
If you’re holding an event and it didn’t make this here list, that is because you did not add it to our super-duper, XXL-sized community-event calendar.
That hurts our feelings.
So please go register and post your event, darn it.
SATURDAY JULY 14
Cash Mob to Benefit Independent Shelton Bookstore
Join the staff of Written Words Bookstore for a “cash mob,” an event where people are encouraged to buy locally and support local businesses. According to The3/50Project, for each $100 you spend at a local business, $68 returns to the community, as opposed to the $43 that would return from a national chain. The bookstore is also a hub for author appearances, to discuss ideas, learn a language and buy books.
Written Words offer gift wrapping free of charge, and you never pay for shipping. Between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., meet local author, Amanda Marrone, and her collection of preserved insects. For more information, contact Terry MacDonald at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
