Update: More Bradley Staffers In Derby Test Positive For COVID-19

DERBY — Update: As of Saturday, Dec. 19, a total of nine staffers from Bradley are out with COVID-19. Eight of the staffers were diagnosed this week.

The Bradley School in Derby has switched to remote learning after three staff members tested positive for COVID-19, according to a letter sent home Thursday (Dec. 17) by Superintendent Matthew Conway.

The Bradley School will remain on remote learning through Dec. 23, according to the letter.

Individuals who were in close contact” with the three staffers have already been notified by school administration.

Derby’s three other schools — Irving, Derby Middle School, and Derby High School — are conducting classes in-person today (Friday, Dec. 18). Those three schools, according to the letter, will be on remote learning from Monday, Dec. 21 through Wednesday, Dec. 23.

According to the Derby Public Schools online COVID-19 dashboard, a total of eight teachers are currently COVID-19 positive.
