On Friday, January 8, 2010, the Shelton Police Department conducted a DUI checkpoint.
741 motorists were interviewed during the DUI checkpoint.
Three people were arrested and charged with DUI, one person was issued a misdemeanor summons for operating under suspension, and another person was given an infraction ticket.
Shelton Police have more DUI checkpoints planned throughout the year.
In addition, officers will still be out strictly enforcing the motor vehicle laws, especially DUI.
