Three Children’s Book Clubs for August 2019 at Plumb Memorial Library In Shelton

The Children’s Dept of the Plumb Memorial Library, 65 Wooster Street, Shelton will be offering three special Book Club programs for the month of August.

THREE SPECIAL BOOK CLUBS

BETWEEN THE PAGES BOOK CLUB: Third and Fourth Grade readers are welcome to join our monthly meeting on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 from 6:30 pm‑7:30 pm. This month they will be reading Because of Mr. Terupt” by Rob Buyea Upon registration each reader will receive a FREE copy of this month’s book. They will discuss the book and engage in activities and enjoy snacks. Registration is required in person or by phone at 203 – 924-9461 ONLY. Generously sponsored by exc-EL Grant.

BOOK BUDDIES BOOK CHAT: Children in Kindergarten-Grade 2 are welcome to join Mrs. Stokes for a monthly celebration of literature on Monday, August 26, 2019 from 6:30 pm‑7:30 pm. This month we will listen to special stories and enjoy a related discussion and craft. Registration is required. NOVEL IDEAS BOOK CLUB: Fifth and Sixth Grade readers are welcome to join the monthly meeting on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 from 6:30 pm‑7:30 pm. August’s title is It Ain’t So Awful, Falafel” by Firoozeh Dumas.
