Three former Ansonia residents were killed in a shooting rampage outside Morgantown, West Virginia.
The bodies of Karin Richardson, 41, and her children, Kevin Hudson, 18, and Katrina Hudson, 22, were found inside their home Monday, according to state police in West Virginia.
Katrina Hudson was six-months pregnant. Her boyfriend, Robert Raber Jr., 30, of West Virginia, was also killed.
Charles Richardson III, 49, of West Virginia, was also killed. He was Karin’s husband.
Clifford Hudson, of Ansonia, is Kevin and Katrina’s father. He lives in Ansonia.
He said West Virginia state police told him over the phone about the murders.
“When he told me, I literally collapsed in tears on my front porch,” Hudson said.
Other family members and friends contacted by the Valley Indy said they were too distraught to comment.
The Alleged Killer
The shooter is thought to be 22-year-old Shayne Riggleman, of Morgantown W. Va. He had a criminal record as a youth, according to CBS News.
He also shot a gas station clerk, according to the New York Times, and ran over a woman with his Jeep Grand Cherokee.
He killed himself with his gun after leading police on a chase, according to The Ledger Independent.
Police in West Virginia said that Riggleman was an acquaintance of at least one of the people he killed in the Sugar Grove home.
Prior to the killings, his Facebook status updates included, “Revenge is a dish best served cold and God is the chef,” and “There is a direct corelation (sic) between the amount of love you have for someone and how crazy you go when you lose them.”
The West Virginia Metro-News reported that Riggleman’s ex-girlfriend was terrified of him and that he previously threatened to go on a rampage.

The Victims
A Facebook page has been created to honor the memory of the former Ansonia residents who were killed.
Katrina graduated from Ansonia High School in 2007. She worked previously for All-Star Transportation in Seymour and the Bob’s Store in Ansonia.
Katrina had planned to enroll in college after having her baby, her father said. While at All-Star Transportation, she had worked on a bus for kids with disabilities. She wanted to pursue a career working with children with disabilities, Hudson said.
The baby was a girl to be named Alexis Paige, according to a post in the memorial Facebook page created by relatives.
Kevin had attended Emmett O’Brien Technical High School before moving to West Virginia. He was finishing up high school there, his father said.
He said Kevin and Katrina were both hard workers who followed through with commitments.
“If either one put their mind to it, they did it,” Hudson said. “If they started something, they tried their damnedest to finish it.”
They were also well liked in the community, Hudson said.
“(Kevin) didn’t date a lot, but every girl around Ansonia knew who he was,” Hudson said. “If he wasn’t home from school yet, he would come home to the front porch and three or four girls he knew would be sitting there just waiting to talk to him.”
Kevin was an avid drawer, and Hudson said he had even promised to get a tattoo based on one of Kevin’s drawings.
Katrina was outgoing.
“She made friends with anyone,” Hudson said. “She helped you if she could. She loved life.”
