Tickets Issued After Derby Crash

Derby FDAn Ansonia man received tickets for driving without a license and failing to stay to the right of the center lane after crashing into a Derby fire truck on Academy Hill Road Thursday night.

According to Derby police, William Sierra was traveling west on Academy Hill in a 1993 Toyota Corolla when he collided with a 1967 Jeep brush truck.

Michael Tracy was driving the truck with one passenger on board. Neither appeared injured but were taken to Yale-New Haven to get checked out, police said.

Sierra was taken to Yale-New Haven to be treated for lacerations to his arms.
